Privacy Policy
Effective July 31, 2026 · Written in plain English on purpose.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address (we use passwordless sign-in links, so that's all we need).
- Your book: the honoree's name, the occasion, your book title, and your cover design.
- Tributes: the messages, names, relationships, and photos that contributors choose to share.
- Print orders: the shipping name and address you give us for delivery.
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
- To build and deliver your tribute book — that's the whole point.
- To send transactional email: sign-in links, edit-request notices, and order updates. No marketing lists.
- To offer optional AI grammar cleanup. Text is sent to our AI provider only to generate suggestions; it is not used to train AI models, and the AI never writes tributes.
- To fulfill print orders: we share the book file and shipping address with our professional print partner.
What we never do
- We never sell your data or your family's memories.
- We never run ads or share content with advertisers.
- We never use your tributes or photos to train AI.
Who can see a book
Books are private. Only people with the share link can contribute, and only the book owner manages what appears in the final book. Contributors can see and edit their own submissions.
Service providers we rely on
Supabase (database & photo storage), Stripe (payments), Netlify (hosting), Microsoft Azure (email delivery), Anthropic (AI grammar suggestions), and our print partner (printed books). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep things
Your book stays active for your plan's period (1–3 years), then is archived for 2 years. If there's no activity, we email you 90 days before anything is permanently deleted. Details are in Refunds & Your Book.
You can request deletion of your account or book at any time.
Your choices
- Ask us to correct or delete your data: [email protected]
- Contributors may ask to have their submission removed from an unpublished book.
Children
Say It Now is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. A parent or guardian should submit tributes on a child's behalf.
Changes
If we make meaningful changes, we'll post them here and update the effective date. Questions? Email [email protected].
